John Edwin Griffis, age 72 of Henry, TN, died Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at Henry County Medical Center.

He retired after many years as a Lineman with Glades Electric in Florida. John enjoyed reading, writing short stories, and he loved the Florida Gators. He was a Baptist in Faith.

John was born November 9, 1948, in Starke Florida, to the late E.L. Griffis and to the late Pauline Hawkins Griffis.

He married on December 31, 1987, to Mary Jane Harrell Griffis of Henry, TN.

Along with his wife, he was survived by four children, Joe (Christy) Griffis of Florida, Janis Kinsey of Mississippi, John Daniel (Jordan) Griffis of Henry, TN, and Jessica Griffis of Paris, TN; nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St./ P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.

His body is to be cremated with no public service to be held.
