Joy Mccutcheon

Joy Cathryn McCutcheon, age 86 of Ringgold, GA, formerly of Paris, TN, died August 14, 2019, in Chattanooga, TN.

She was formerly a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Paris.  Joy was a nurse for many years at HCMC.  She loved the Lord, nursing, fishing, baking cakes, and Tennessee Football. In her later years, Joy lived independently at East Ridge Retirement where she enjoyed playing games like bingo, Rook, and dominoes.

Joy was born April 20, 1933, in Henry, TN, to the late Fred Lee Summerford and the late Gwendolyn Owen Summerford.

She was married February 11, 1978, to Charles McCutcheon, who preceded her in death on August 24, 2015.

She is survived by one son, David McCutcheon of Ringgold, GA; one granddaughter, Amy (Chris) Ketron of Ringgold, GA; one grandson, Casey (Kim) McCutcheon of Mason, TN; and three great grandchildren, Lukas and Jackson Ketron of Ringgold, GA and Branlee McCutcheon of Mason, TN.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN.  Visitation will be Sunday, August 18, 2019, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Dr. John Smith of Fairview Baptist Church officiating.

Pallbearers will be Casey McCutcheon, Chris Ketron, Gary “Bo” Sinclair, Garrett Sinclair, and Larry French.

Named as honorary pallbearers are Lukas Ketron, Jackson Ketron, and Branlee McCutcheon, Paul Copeland, Mike Shankle.

Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Paris, TN.
