Kathy Akins

Kathy Hammett Akins, age 70 of Paris, died Monday, August 30, 2021 at AHC of Paris.

Born December 28, 1950, in Paris, she was the daughter of the late John L. Hammett and the late Ernestine Freeland Hammett.

Kathy was a member of the first graduating class from Henry County High School in 1970. She enjoyed working puzzles, gospel singings, and watching TV. She was a member of the Paris Church of God of Prophecy.

Survivors include her sister, Peggy Pritchard of Paris; a nephew, David (Vicki) Pritchard of Ocala, Fl; two nieces, Aimee Pritchard of Ocala, and Alison Pritchard of Tampa, FL; and several cousins.

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St, PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242, will be handling the arrangements. A graveside service will be held Sunday, September 5, 2021, at 3:00 pm at the VanDyke Grove Cemetery with Everett Holloway officiating.
