Mary Ann Kirk

Mary Ann Kirk, age 84 of Springville, TN, died Saturday, January 22, 2022, at AHC of Paris.

She was a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Paris, and before that, was a longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ in Portage, IN.  Mary Ann was a maker of cut & tie blankets and an avid Chicago Cubs baseball fan.  She loved fishing, baking, traveling, and enjoyed playing Scrabble.  She loved her family more than life itself.

Mary Ann was born October 26, 1937, in Gary, IN, to the late Thomas Edgar Rainwater and the late Sarah Margarette Bray Rainwater.

She is survived by her two daughters, Pam (George) Shields of Springville, TN, and Shelia Billheimer of Knox, IN; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three sisters, Jesse Mae Allee, Bessie Marie Devors, and Ressie Nan Belter; two brothers, William Brent Rainwater and Vertress Rainwater; and her former husband and friend, Jearl Kirk.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  The body is to be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 12:00 PM at Buchanan Resort, 785 Buchanan Resort Road, Springville, TN 38256.
