Peggy Shavchuk

Peggy Shavchuk, age 59 of Paris, TN, died Thursday, August 5, 2021, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN.

She worked for several years at Mohon International.  She loved roses, taking care of her rose bushes, and reading Louis L’amore books.  Peggy enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune with her grandchildren.  She was Christian by faith.

Peggy was born February 4, 1962, in Buffalo, NY, to the late Paul Cole, Jr., and the late Ollie Marie Stagner Cole.

Peggy was married to Lance Shavchuk, Sr., who preceded her in death on February 28, 1992.

She is survived by her two children, Lance (Annette) Shavchuk, Jr., of Lexington, TN, and Jamie Shavchuk of Paris; four grandchildren, Isabel Phiri, Preston Shavchuk, Kylar Shavchuk, and Morgona Shavchuk; three nieces, Jeannie Sealander-Vallone of Buffalo, NY, Jennifer Doodigian of Texas, and Elizabeth Reichle of Buffalo, NY; and two nephews, David Baldwin of Buffalo, NY, and Thomas Vallone of Buffalo, NY.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Susan Ventrice and Daryl Syroczynski; and one grandchild, Adam Shavchuk.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  The body is to be cremated with no services planned at this time.
