Peggy Ann Phillips

Peggy Ann Phillips, age 79 of Gary, IN, formerly of Puryear, TN, died Sunday August 25, 2019, in Gary, IN.

She was a homemaker who loved her children and family very much.  Peggy grew up and spent her early years in the Jones Mill community of Puryear.  She was Baptist in belief.

Peggy was born December 26, 1939, in Murray, KY, to the late Allie Mae Chadwick Wynn.

She was married in 1957, to Billy Warren Phillips, who preceded her in death in 1998.

She is survived by three daughters, Treva Phillips of Hammond, LA, Beverly (Michael) Ficks of Mercorsberg, PA, and Shelly (Johnny) Gal of Gary, IN; two sons, Jimmy (Tammy) Phillips of Hammond, LA, and Bobby (Lindsey) Phillips of Broken Arrow, OK; two sisters, Suzie Wrye of Spring Hill, TN, and Hazel Hays of Cottage Grove, TN; one brother, Jimmy (Laura) Wynn of Cottage Grove, TN; 15 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by one son, Billy Aden Phillips

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN 38242.  A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, September 21, 2019, at 11:15 am at Walker Cemetery in Paris, TN, with Chad Kennedy officiating.

Burial will follow the graveside service in Walker Cemetery.
