William Thomas "W.T." Watson

William Thomas “W.T.” Watson, age 83 of Buchanan, TN, died Monday, May 3, 2021, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris.

He was a park ranger for the state of Tennessee, where he served in several parks, retiring as a park manager.  He was a U.S. Army veteran.  W.T. was very proud to have been born, raised, and spent most of his life in the Paris Landing area.  He enjoyed traveling with his wife and was an avid motorcycle rider.  He loved tinkering and fixing things in his garage and working on cars.

W.T. was born January 3, 1938, in Buchanan, TN, to the late Thomas Watson and the late Lera Thompson Watson.

He was married February 14, 1961, to Marie Pebeahsy Watson, who preceded him in death on August 25, 2018.

He is survived by his two daughters, Janet Barrett of Buchanan, TN, and Karen (Kenneth) Kelley of Clarksville, TN; four grandchildren, Bobby Barrett of Puryear, TN, Kane Kelley of Clarksville, TN, Katie Kelley of Clarksville, TN, and Thomas Barrett of Buchanan, TN; and three great grandchildren, Blake Barrett, Bradley Barrett, and Briley Barrett.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Thursday, May 6, 2021, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, and continue Friday, May 7, 2021, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.  The funeral service will be Friday, May 7, 2021, at 1:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Larry Salmon officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Barrett Kane Kelley, Bradley Barrett, Thomas Barrett, Blake Barrett, and Tim Hester.

Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Buchanan, TN.
